 Australia Trip 2 (Sept 13 -20)

Exploring Brisbane for the second time.
At least nag-enjoy na kmi sa city this time.
The place is kinda lonely.
Or siguro sanay lang ako sa Makati na madami ang tao, and always busy. hahahaha!

It really is more fun in the Philippines!

PNG Holiday - National Covenant Day

yey!! holiday din dito. hahaha! kalurkey.
sa labas lang nmn halos kmi. sunday, nakiparty mula tanghali hanggang gabi. libre food, buti na lang kasi until now wala pa din sweldo. lech.
at natulog ng wagas nung lunes. hay buhay. september na sana. pra mabilis na ang pasok ng december.

On the other hand,
Thinking of their holiday is kinda upsetting. :(
I think they really should be committed to a more higher level, in terms of cleanliness and care for nature. totoo nga nmn si Malum, they really should have a law against betel nut na.

All in all, kahit salat sa activities ang POM, naenjoy pa din ang long weekend!

Happy Birthday to my dearest Father!

Its my father's 63rd Birthday! and he's in Tawi Tawi celebrating. lolz

Yeah we do look alike. hahaha! Looking back as a kid, people would know who my parents are just looking at me. hindi nga daw ako mawawala dahil alam nila kung san ako ibabalik.

We grow up with our father until Grade 2. At dahil iisa ang boy sa family, all of us are treated as one. we even have the same barber (means same cut as well). kaya siguro may pagkaboyish kami. hahaha! at sa home chores, pare parehas din lang ang treatment. pagbubuhatin ka ng kung ano ano. kiber pa kung mabigat iyan. narealize ko lang ata na girl ako nung nagkarun ako ng period. lolz. hahaha!

Weekend father ang peg ng tatay ko all through out. until now, he works in the good all Phil. Government as GSD Director with the same agency for like 40+years now? saludo ako sa kanya. He acts what he preaches ika nga. Kala nila mayaman kami, were not. lolz. Growing up with just enough food but with lots of love sa family. Diyan kmi lumaki.

Ours is not a perfect one. My father was often misunderstood, my siblings won't event agree with me. Ako nga naransan ko na mahalikan si kelly, ayaw ko daw kasi kumain ng gulay at ng pagkain na "pangat". as i mature, dun ko lang din narerealize things that i often closed my mind on thinking.

Mas naging close ko tatay ko when he was transferred in Manila. Ikaw na ang sunduin every Wednesday sa office. hahaha! mga officemates ko nga "Ma'am andyan na po sundo niyo, papa niyo pla." hahaha.

Yes i love may parents so much. and if i can just give the world to them to show that i really appreciate what they have done and sacrificed for us, i would.

what is a hump day

hump day. mid of the week.
working people's day to chill out and relax. once lang magawa pra di magsawa sa mga pinupunthan dito.

one thing i've missed in pinas is the everyday starbucks tambay in moa/bluewave/picc area. namimiss ko na coffee jelly at iyong banana kiyeme nila. hahahaha!

PNG Randomness pt. 2

As i was browsing through my files last night, may mga nadig ako na pictures. it felt as though i've stayed long in this place. hahaha!

First trip going to Town/Harbour City

2nd weekend namin sa PNG, lumabas kami to do our grocery. First stop, harbour city. Ala-Makati nila na wala din sinabi sa Makati natin. hahaha!!

First time sa PAU

almost a month na nasa house ito magiging epekto. this is one of their universities where we can do our market, although sunday lang siya open to public. kelangan gumising ng maaga.

eto na ang christmas party version in PNG. most of the companies here dont really spend that much. di gaya sa pinas na may mga production numbers pa. lolz

FIGARO!!! need i say more. :) tambayan mostly ng mga pinoy. hahaha!

RPYC at night. Hump day! three times lang ata kmi nakapunta dito. ang mahal nmn kasi ng kiyeme fee nila. sos!

kami na ang kiyeme sa Grand Papua hotel. hahaha! mga walang magawa pag weekend, kumakain sa kung san san. :P

sharing 101

weekend na nmn. saturday. sunday. lumilipas lang nmn iyan eh.

nga pla, sa kagustuhan kong maipagpatuloy ang aking naudlot na singing career sa pinas, every first and last sunday of the month eh kinakarir ko ang pagkanta sa simbahan. not bad. di nmn ako sobrang relihiyosong tao, but i just want to give back to the man Up there who always sees things good or bad. and para sa akin its my way of thanking Him na hanggang ngayon eh kumakayod pa din ako at namumuhay ng matiwasay.

on the other hand, lapit na magjuly, kalagitnaan na nang taon. ang bilis ng panahon. 9 months na din ako sa PNG. whew! imagine that. 

buhay oFw? sa kabilang forum, madami akong nakilala at naging cyber friends na nagtatanong:

1. safe ba sa Papua new guinea, kmusta ang security issue? 2. Totoo bang mataas ang cost of living diyan? 3. Internet and communication ok nmn ba?

na sinasagot ko nang:

1. Safe ka kung sinusunod mo ang rules dito. Never go out nor walk in the streets alone. always go out in groups. safety is a matter of discipline din sa sarili, na dapat iapply dito. security is always an issue, kahit san nmn magpunta eh. kung oras mo na, oras mo na. but then, precautionary measures are exercised here. like one, lahat ng accomodation my 24/7 na guards (minsan wala silang kwenta kasi tulog sa duty), second, hatid sundo mga tao sa work, except sa mga expats na may sariling transpo. ang grabe lang kasi na naeexperienced ng mga tao dito, expat man o nationals, iyong matiyempuhan ng 'rascals'. kahit nationals, walang patawad kung pagnakawan or saktan.

2. Yes, cost of living is high. sa grocery na lang isang kilo ng kamatis dito PGK 21.00 = 400 pesoses. nakakalula. kaya wag na lang magconvert. hindi kasi accessible ang market dito, delikado punthan. may market na pede punthan pero every sunday morning lang at kelangan gumising ng 530am. pero all in all, nasa pagbabudget lang tlga iyan. 

3. communication, ok nmn. internet? it sucks. hahaha! ang mahal pa ng charges. kaya nagttyga dito sa office magbrowse ng magbrowse dahil libre. iyong laptop na dala ko, gamit ko lang pang-games at pang movies.

living here is simple. iyon lang nmn ang kagandahan. walang madaming malls, fastfood choices na pede mong punthan. nightlife? wala din maxado. kape kape lang sa figaro, minsan papasok sa bar pero kakain lang ng pulutan. hahaha!

di pa nmn nakakapangsisi na andito ako ngayon. so far. echos.

Australia Trip (day1 - 06/04/2012)

First vacay abroad trip outside PNG and Phils. :)

Got up 330AM to prepare for our 645flight going to Brisbane. Antok much but needs to shake the bon-bon dahil sunduin pa kmi ng mga kasabay nmin. picture muna sa plane pra nmn kumpleto ang adventure. Can't sleep much because its only a 3 hour plane trip to Brisbane. and iyong amoy, mejo kakaiba. so pagising gising din

And touchdown to BNE airport. After immigration, bili na nang simcard pra may magamit pangcall at pangFB. it was a very quite airport dahil lahat ata ng mga tao nakabakasyon na. First time on Holy week am not spending it on the church. hehehe

Surfer's Century Apartments

And here is the view from our apartment. whew! ang sarap ng pakiramdam. nakakapagrelax pla tlga and nkkwala ng toxic. It was a block away from the beach, and nagbabalak na tlga ako na lakarin iyan from the time i saw it. hahaaha! ang sarap ng hangin, sariwang sariwa at walang hangin ng nognog. hihi. we arrived 230 pm sa goldcoast, and gutom na kaming lahat, after makasettle sa hotel, naghanap na kmi ng makakainan.

Then dumating na din ang Batch1 to meet us. Naglakad lakad sa kahabaan ng surfer's paradise pra sa magiging accomodation nila,. unluckily, all have no vacancy na. kaya kahit lumong lumo, naglakad lakad na lang sa beach.whew. after 6 months na wala man lang kasing-free na ganito, naging bata kami na hinagisan ng chocolate sa saya.

it was a long time since last post. not feeling much of a worker right now. petiks mode muna.

Emo mode: I will try my best to be a perfect daughter and ate to my siblings they are my all. and i will spend more of my time with them when i come home. its hard to be away from your family.
ang hirap magkasakit pag ang magaalaga sayo ay nasa kabilang linya ng telepono. ang magsasabi ng ingat lagi at wag magskip ng meals. ang magreremind na always make yourself happy, reach your dreams. sa umpisa masaya ang adventure, pero pag nagiisa ka pla sa lupa ng mga banyaga, nakakaburnout din. lalo na pag trabaho lang ng trabaho.

2012 - New Year in POM

My first post for the year.

During the festive season of Christmas and New year, all the "Orphans" celebrated as one. This is my first time to spend it minus my family, and ex-Philippines. Its a struggle knowing that everyone at home is quite enjoying the holidays. But we had survived it, and looking forward to coming home this year and celebrate it like we usually do.

First thing to do, is fill up my calendar with all the things to do.
